We'll just miss each other

aukanmeister,

Thanks for the invite! We'd love to take you up on it, but we'll just be leaving at that point. We'll have already have dropped off the bikes and be waiting for the plane.

But have a great time while here! It's an awesome place.

Headed to Hotel Latrabjarg

We left our feared potential disaster and continued towards Latrabjarg. Still we found more sights...

I could tell someone was having fun..

Perhaps even both of us were having fun?

Anyway, it was time to move on and get to our hotel. Hotel Latrabjarg. This was a perfect time to take the lead for a while...

We were almost there, but hit a little of this...

which gave us some fairly soft surfaces and construction equipment dodging. Kim handled it all like a pro and we soon were at the hotel having a nice dinner and a little wine. Magnifique!!!!

The Birdcliffs of Latrabjarg

We decided that since we were so close, it would be a good idea to go visit the famous bird cliffs of Latrabjarg. Afterall, it was only a mountain away. There was some light rain along the route as we climbed higher up the mountain, but as we descended, the weather cleared and as you can see in the video below, it was worth it!!!

So when we arrived at the birdcliffs, I asked Mr. Cotton whether he wanted to come along. After all, he carries a parrot with him at all times!

Of course, if you know anything about Mr. Cotton, he said.... NOTHING! So I said to Mr. Cotton's parrot, "Same question"! All he said was Awkkkk!!!! Therefore we brought Mr. Cotton along. (send a PM if you don't get this... I might answer or Mr. Cotton's parrot might).

Time to head to the birdcliffs!

At the birdcliffs of Latrabjarg

Once there, we found lots and lots and lots of... you guessed it birds. You could get quite close. Kim and I got all of these pics with small point and shoot cameras...

Just how beautiful is it at the birdcliffs

Now that you've seen the birds, here's a quick look at how beautiful it is at the cliffs:

Hey how'd she get in there? She's pretty beautiful too!

Sooner than we knew, it was time to head back to the hotel. While we were walking back, we realized just what kind of extents people go to to get pictures of birds. Remember, it's probably at least 500' straight down from where these people are!

Back to the hotel

The sun had come out for the ride back to the hotel. So we made the best of it. We didn't tell you that part of the trip to the birdcliffs included a ride right past the beach...

I thought I might get the opportunity to spy some hot Icelandic babes lounging at the beach. Boy was I right. There they were, hanging out by the crashing surf wearing absolutely NOTHING, their fleece blowing in the wind...

Once again over the mountain and we decended to our hotel. The last 2 kilometers to the hotel are awesome. The video I left you with a couple of days ago was from that section, here's the riding part...

Just a bit more to go and even as we worked our way to sea level, there were more treats...

Well everyone, that's all for tonight! Till later!

Sorry for the delay!

I am so sorry I have fallen so far behind on the ride report. We are just having too much fun and adventure. I'm afraid that I will not finish the RR until I get home. But we are having a great time and I promise that the RR will be great. We continue to see great sights, have great adventures.... and meet great people.

Til then!

Leaving Lautrabjarg

So it was finally time to leave Latrabjarg and mosey over to Heydalur. But before we could get going we had to wait for the Latrabjarg rush hour to end. So we waited until...

The road cleared and rush hour over, we were on our way...
