Ride and Rescue

Sirloynz and Turnsleft are planning the stradgety (sic)
for the ride up FS17

We stop for a shot at the waterfall

and then haul on up to the snow line

The orang machine determines the extent of travel in this direction

and in this direction

out on the edge of this spur
Loren say's " I'll go this way"

Okay

watch out around the fire pits

beautiful day with some big views

some brushy side roads

stop and check the GPS for wtf are we corodinates

Loren scopes a possible route to the top

doing the KTM pushup

not a good way down

The rescue. This guy was played out

Enter the ADV rescue team

Wah La,

He was close to being in a real bad fix

back on the road and another spur we found an oen gate

these cuts weren't going to work

then for some orange pop

Fun day, nothing like a mid week ride. Thanks guys for being my reverse.

Tom and Lorne showed up at my house at 09:30 and we made a few plans for the days ride. We headed out about 10:00 for Lower Finny[FS17]. We got to within sight of the Gap [not the store]. We were trying to make it to FS 1755 but got stopped by snow. I thought, that was a short ride. We turned around and hit about every side road we could find. It turned out to be a good days ride.

I seen Lorne's front tire appear between two big rocks for
about half a second or so then it was gone. Hmm not good, a nice piece of wood stopped him from going back down the hill. Tom and I got to help Lorne get out of his predicament[Don't get to help Lorne to often].

Lorne could make about one step backwards and be back on 17.

Who's that up there.

Lorne and Tom take so many pictures that they are bound to snap each other sooner or later

We need to get to that road. Maybe next time.

This being retired ain't to bad.

Tom, thanks for the spare bolt. It would have been a rough ride if I had to use zip-ties on my saddle.

Kelvey, thanks for letting me inhale that delicious smelling castor from your three stroke.

Is he a great guy, or what? Adds a little bean oil to the gas just to give those following a whiff.
Not quite as good as huffing Blendzall at the Everett Comcast Arena but not bad.

Was the smoke as bad as a certain 525's after the "lake of burning lava" on the 5F trail?
