Didn't smash my toe's

Went riding last weekend up in the hills. Coming out of a turn on a dirt road, my left foot smacked a large rock. Just didn't see it at all. Knocked my foot off the peg, and rag-dolled my leg backwards. Glanced back to see the rock still rolling. Didn't loose my balance, nor did I feel any pain. Nothing, nada. Not a mark on the boot that I can see. Back of my calf was sore the next day, and was sore for three days. However, no pain at all in my foot or toes. Pretty remarkable, considering I was going about 30mph. I was wearing my Sidi Crossfires.
I did a fair amount of research when I was looking into a boot that offers good protection and comfort. Yes they are comfortable, in fact you can hike in them if you had to. You can buy a cheaper boot for sure. But I think I just saved a bit on E.R. fee's...
That's it...Good product and great protection. Now back to our regularly sponsored show...
Cheers

It's no fun until your foot goes under the peg and the rock doesn't move.
