Apologies if this isn't the right thread for this. If not, where?

I live in the LA area and need a place nearby with moderate/intermediate trails to build up seat time in the dirt before heading off on longer trips. Is Rowher Flats my best bet? Other suggestions?

Where can I find info on putting together a good kit of supplies for off-roading? Tire repair, etc. Is there a FAQ or some thread where a relative noob can find some guidance?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick info, especially the toolkit thread! I'm going to hit Rowher this Saturday provided I can get my new tires mounted tomorrow.

Thanks. This is my daily driver so the tags are current, and I'll be riding it there so I won't need the pass, right?
