Well, it's a little hard to tell, but that rider looks scared shytless. I think for good reason

I built mine like it would support cars. Dug out 8" of dirt/grass. Put down two 3" layers of depcomposed granite (DG). Packed each layer with a plate compactor. Then 1 inch of sand, and lay the tiles, my tiles were 1" thick. After tiles are set, use a concrete/grout type mixture and compact again. Nothing but time and a sore back.

Figure out if you are going to run power/water or any thing under the tiles. Once the dirt is out, that is the time to set those under the DG

Happy to help. You will want to make sure that your legs are in good shape, or get the local kids to dig it for you.

If you can get a skid steer into the area, that makes soil removal much easier. I had to do it by hand. Lost 40 lbs in the process (and dieting)

Noel - pay the kids to do it. It will cost you less than losing a bunch of weight and paying Javier to do the suspension on all your bikes again.

DR,

I will be happy to consult, if the fees are paid. Beer and Pizza are acceptable compensation. I don't own a KLR, so don't go cheap.

It was much easier to ride the bike. It was like the XR had another 15 HP.
