Good news: the 705 kit is done and on its way. This had better stop my KLR's oil burning issues or I'm going orange.

There's a lot of other colors out there other than orange that can solve a burning oil problem. Just sayin'.

From what I've been told by more than a few motorcycle mechanics is that most big bores burn some oil thats just how they are I don't know how bad your problem is but if it's just a bit I wouldn't sweat it much.

the 705 kit actually burns no oil.

it is a great upgrade to a gutless pig.

the KLR is a great bike to learn on and I wouldn't jump ship just because you hate sand.
I wouldn't be where I am if I started smaller (well, maybe) but it's good to learn on a pig then fly on a smaller, lighter bike.

My bike burns a significant amount of oil. Last Sunday's ride consumed 1/4 quart.

The blue cloud and mosquito abatement odor gives it away

basically the same idea(maybe even the same set up).

there is a 685 kit(more popular, more realiable) and the 705 kit(more money).

I was going to do one of those upgrades before the Korean War took me out.
