When they go SPLAT

Riding down a country road and all of sudden out of nowhere there is a large noise and something all over the front of your helmet. The Cicadas are in large number around here now and when they go splat on your helmet you think the shield is busted it is so loud. Immediately after it happened I thought of how good it is that my helmet is a full face helmet. Sometimes I ride with the front of the helmet flipped up and my shades down but during the bug season I wouldn't think of it.

Have any of you had a bad experience with something hitting your helmet?
