Hi its a stock 990 fender. (950 probably better suited cos the front break cable mount is same as 690) but You need to make some simple brackets to get it to fit the 690 fron end...theres some example shots back a abit on the thread.

I've just found this thread.

Beautiful. Love the look. Want mine to look like yours. Jealous. Envious.

Two suggestions if I may :

Rock hard rally gear bash plate
Slightly larger gap between front fender and tyre (just in case it gets muddy.

So far, after 7 months of trawling, yours is the best 690 adventure I've seen.....although I'm not sure how many beers I can see on my table at the moment....they seem to be moving and blurry

Cheers....Am looking at several bashies at the moment but cant decide which one is the best...darn indecision!

Point taken on the front fender...Havn't had any worries with it so far though. its about the same distanace from the tire as the 990...maybe a little more....If I know I'm heading into over the top mud I can fit the high guard back on in under 10mins flat......an hour if I cant find it...doh!

moving and blurry is fine...its the spiders on the wall paper you need to worry about!

I don't cross many continents so have no need of the extra capacity.

This shot shows the mounts I made & fitted to the Cases. They are all sealed so the cases remain 100% water proof. I use some small friction straps to pull the cases up against the rubber buffers (ex door stops) which is simple but effective. I gave up in discust trying to figure out a key lock system...way to complex...this system works well and is easy to fit and take off.

How she looks with the boxes on

A shot of the new speedo fitted.
Nice looking back and like the bags. I'm putting the same orange one on my 525 and like the side bags.

seat height is 910mm with no rider sag. so its always interesting getting ya leg over! I'm 6'1 and can easily get both feet flat on the ground once seated. There is some extra height gained by the modified seat but lost buy the 25mm lowering link so the bike is about the same height as standard.

you should note that there is a 1'5/8 lowering link available for the 690 however I did recieve some interesting correspondance regarding the suspension performance by using it. Alternatively you can have the suspension (front and back) professionally lowered and tuned for your weight and height which I understand is the best way to get around any height issues.

fun fun

The pelican 1300 is a great size box for carrying the essentials. I looked arround for a while to find something that wasn't too large and could take a bit of a beating...the pelican gear is 1st class!

Of course it is doesn't eveyone have carpet in their shed?

I'm picking up my 690 from the suspension dude today. It now has a 9.5 spring in the rear, stick with the .54 technic in the front, revalve front and back and new oil level in the front. The sag when loaded was 130, no wonder it stood up so straight. It now has a nice normal lean on in and I can tippy toe with street shoes so with boots it will be one side only, just like the DRZ.

all this is to enable the increased weight of fuel and water needed for the CSR and ABH

It will be interesting to ride it unladen but that won't happen until September I hope.
