Nice shot, nice bike. It just looks so "factory" and comfortable. I reckon you need a glove box in the dash board to fit charging electrical equipment, sunglasses, nappy wipes......................

For me, I need knobbies in sand!

the 908rr will fit the 690. I even had a Michy desert on my DRZ once. A bit over tyred though.

I've got a 140 Mefo on at the moment and it's got plenty of clearance.

Nice toe nails BTW

I am running a Trakmaster II on the rear of my 690 right now. It was sort of an emergency replacement and its only a 110 iirc....having said that...this tire works amazingly well on the 690...near trials tire like traction in the woods. I think that perhaps the smaller tire combined with the bigger bike weight on the rear really helps in the traction area.

Yes but pink!! You may as well ride a Tenere

The Super Explorers are supposed to get big Ks, I'm hoping 6000+ for the rear

been doing some research on the super explrs...they got some good reviews. you should have no worries getting 6k from them 7 to 9k is their average life...only negative was they can get a bit slippery due to the hardness of the tire compound....longevity has its downsides I suppose. I would like to try out the 908's so will see if i can get some from somewhere...import from the states seems the most likely option unless someone can steer me in a better direction???

I imported some using rockymountainatv. By memory it was about $332us for a pair and two bridgestone uhd tubes delivered

Mate, that's a bastard, take up knife throwing or something

I'll take some pics tomorrow of the bike loaded up with 50 litres of fuel, 12 litres of water and the rest of the crap I'll be taking on the month's trip leaving on Friday or Saturday
