I intend to do something in Kunanurra, Wiluna, Cooberpedy and Birdsville.

I'll also post up the link to my Spot track

I'll start a thread before I go with that info.

as promised here is a pic, she's almost ready to go.

The thongs were funny last night but perhaps not now . It's got 50 litres of fuel and 12 litres of water on board. The tail bag looks bulky but is light with a silnylon tarp, mat, groundsheet and chair, yes chair, let the bagging commence

The wolfman panniers have clothes and kitchen. The andy panniers have fuel water and spares. The tank bag has camera, ipod and leads. The Rockhardrally bashplate has all the tools and a couple of bearings all wrapped in inners. The long tyre irons run under the seat beside the tank (thanks Mudguts)

there's a powerlet socket running from behind the shroud and the GPS is on one side and the UHF is on the other (or will be tomorrow).

All the luggage is as solid as a rock, I can and quite probably will lift the bike with them.

Tha's it, nothing to it really, not as complete as others but will have to do until I come back.

Mate!! Looks like youre wel prepared. Suppose you got ya shocks dialed in to "hard azz" to allow for the extra weight. Don't forget a good couple of rolls of the essential paper You probly already got it covered but a roll or 2 of duct tape would be a good idea, specially with all the soft bags you carryin.

Ive never met you but i wish I was riden beside you on this adventure...take care and most of all have a blast!!

Yeah, the 9.5 rear spring means that it's 5 clicks out from hard now and as i lighten the load I'll soften it up. oh, i do need to pack the bog roll, forgot about that. yeah, slappy sticks and soft panniers mean duct tape is a must. i might bring a big roll, I've got plenty of room.

next time, supported with cold beer, you and I ok! you may have to keep that toenail polish fetish a secret but they are very attractive I agree

I don't know what too say...I'm very flatterd, but I cant help feelling for Dr Frankinstien...go figure??

That mean looking doggy/cat/??? looks like its wants its kennal back?? and Ned Kelly could never match the range of a 690 with a safari tank!

I do think the orange front fairing looks better....but hey... blacks good. the important thing is your happy with ya work.

Now I've seen everything!

Dear KTM,

Make a 690 Adventure already! DO IT! NOW! PLEEEEAAASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Sincerely,
Not a Shriner
