I know that this doesn't count but how about a Jeep grab from this afternoon.

Too many wheels and it leans the wrong way in the corners. Now if you had stuffed the Zuma in the back and parked it at the trail head when you got there, you could have taken a pic that amazed us all.

There were some rough stretches. I certainly am not taking either of my bikes after this tag.

No, I didn't. That's the real culmination of my 'mistake(s)' today. I hadn't planned on going after the tag, I was just going to zip up 178 to Rosman and take East Fork on over to Brevard. But, as I came across that skinny bridge on 178, I made the snap decision to "go get that sitting tag". FAIL

Although I know of the overlooks, I wasn't exactly sure where Jumping Off Rock was/is. How tough could it be? Well, I started on the 178 entrance and wound up on Cleo Chapman road and never saw that darn sign.

I started down the road that takes you to the boat ramp, but was losing so much elevation, I felt for SURE I was going the wrong way.... and then turned around.

Damnit!

Well crap. We were right there with you all day. Saw a few 4 wheelers but not a single motorcycle.

The rock with the guys tribute is not visible from the road. You have to park where Banjo parked his bike and I parked my Jeep and walk about 50 yards up to the overlook.

Good job on the grab Chris. I am not sure that I could have made it up there on the Versys.

The Versys seems to be more than at home on roads like that.....I've seen 'em ride much rougher stuff.

Bruced!

I left home about 11:30 this morning and just got back. Don't know why I didn't see the grab before I left. Great day to be out though. It was a great ride!

Outactrl, did you come in from 178 or Shooting Tree?

If you came from 178, did you get a pic of the tree across the road that you had ride through? I neglectd to.

Oh, and

Chad, the Versys would have eaten it up. The ride ain't as rough on a mo'cycle.

Rugby, I'd love to see you ride the scooter from the 178 side. I won't dare you, though.

Chris

Yep, came in from 178. There was one tree down, but was able to ride around it, in the mud!
