Great grab but you should have waited until 2pm when they open.

That key wouldn't happen to be a size 11 would it?

so now there are 2 ADV members in Reidville? Still only one light

Being slightly lactose intolerant, and fully 100% barbra streisand intolerant, I went for a ride in the hills instead

Yes. I had no idea it was so far up the gravel, but so beautiful

So where is this Jumping Off rock? Looks like a place I need to ride. Any places to camp nearby?

Here is an article about JOR (Go to page 6). It's a few years old, but pretty accurate based on my couple of trips. Take 178 about 8 miles north of Hwy 11 to the trail head. I think it is about 7 or 8 miles gravel road (Horse Pasture Road) from there.

It's a must see.

It varies from year to year as to exactly when the gates are open. You might have to search around on a DNR website to find current dates.

Loren, is that a recent pic? The road was supposed to close a couple of weeks ago.

Even when you get to the main parking area (for hikers) the signs are nearly indecipherable. It is 12 miles of gravel from 178 to Jumping Off Rock. The way I read it the road (?) will be open 'til maybe Oct. I believe the road closure they are referring to is the one that continues up into NC.

Chad, you posted while I was typing. Yes, I went up there on Monday, Memorial Day. Like I said to Evinrude, I think the road closure is the right fork, which would take you on up into NC, to Babb Rd it looks to me. The left fork, going to JOR, had no sign of a gate closing when I was there.
