For me, it's tough to head toward flatter ground when I head out on a ride.

Are any of you guys coming to the state ride to lunch in Charleston tomorrow?
I thought about it and did the math, but since I need to be home about 4:30, I'd have to ride to lunch, not eat, then turn around and ride back home. Plus, I-26 sucks.

Y'all have a good ride and lunch.

Chris

Rainy-day grab

Gaines Street bridge, Central, SC. It's right across SC93 from Southern Wesleyan U.

New tag later.

It never really rained on me. It was mainly just misty.

I like it

I had sent you a PM, but never heard back from you. I had a good time down in Georgia on Hwy 60!

Todd, sorry about that! I got the PM Thursday, things got hectic, and I spaced on getting back to you until sometime Friday. It was probably my subconscious punishing you for the gumball-machine dude picture in the dinner thread.

Seriously, sorry for not getting back to you. I would've told you basically what you likely found out -- that GA60/TN64 (?) to Tellico Plains is a pretty full ride in and of itself. Did you do the Cherohala Skyway after you left MiniMike's place in Tellico Plains?

The engine bars have been on the 1150 since June. I put the upper/tank bars on in August or September, after I got back from my trip out west.

All the best,
Chris

I realized that this tag is kinda tough to find on the Web, so here's a new clue:
The old Shell station is located in the town that hosts the Sugarfoot Festival.

Happy taggin',
Chris

Yeah, that was pretty brutal. Classic interwebs shock photo.

Yes, I didn't stop at the store (was running out of time) but rode down the Cherohala skyway and then 28 all the way back to Wahalla SC. Great loop! I rode the Richard Russell byway (ga 348) too, another good road. I need to pick up a good map of FS roads in Ga. Any suggestions?

Would the name of the town this tag is in fit in this classic lyric of the 70's rock group The Band? "Wait a minute, _______, you know I'm a peaceful man. He said, "That's ok, boy, won't feed him when you can?"

I think that if you ride to Chester to claim this tag that you'll have a good story to tell.

They may have an old Shell station, but it ain't this'n.

Grab

N. Shirley Avenue in Honea Path, SC. I found it by "googling" the phone number and it was buried in an artile in the Anderson newspaper.

Somebody made me an offer on my SV I couldn't refuse, so I took'em up on it and I just picked up this KLR Friday night.

New tag coming shortly.
