Wildwater, Ltd. on Academy Road, Long Creek.

It was 42 and cloudy when I left Franklin, 60 and sunny in Clayton, only 20 miles away, came back through Highlandfs, NC where it was cloudy with a little rain and then rain and 38 in Franklin. Crazy Ride!! But I'm glad to say my gear is warm and keeps me dry.

Wussed out. Didn't feel like riding 3+ hours in 40 degree weather on the Zuma.

Stayed home and painted the living room.

Sort of, just follow the rules in the 1st post. Ask any questions that you want to.

Grab

well I can't believe nobody beat me to this one, It's been what a week?
Stump house tunnel just off 28. An old pre civil war railroad tunnel that was never finished. 28 was in good shape today but I came down 107 and the road is covered in salt even in SC. It got pretty slippery when it started to rain. It didn't help that my front tire is completely bald (a new one should arrive Monday) but it's not like I'm not going to ride on a 68degree January day just because my tires are bald, there's salt on the roads (why?) and it's raining.

I was over on Saluda Friday, and it was so heavily salted that it was like riding on sand.I hit a bump coming off Holbert Cove and cause something wierd with my front end.I pick up some head shake when I coast down from 50 to 35.I checked it and didn't find anything wrong.I retorqued everything tires are still in great shape.I did blow the SS Russel brake lines on the way home. They started leaking between the hose and fittings.Only 3 years old and 3000 miles on them.

That's usualy just an out of ballence front tire, although some tires are more prone to head shake then others. If you've been riding like that for long the tire may have developed some cupping wich means that balancing the tire now won't stop the head shake. In that case the problem usualy gets worse as the tire wears.
