VA Historical Markers – Let’s Find all 2200 of Them!

About a half a mile north of the courthouse on Rt. 15 at the Union Cemetary (39.121015,-77.562082).

Went north of Leesburg on 15 to this one. It is on 15 south at 39.152224,-77.540597.

One of the older sign placements, although it looks like it's been updated to new material.

These two are co-located just down the road from F 6 at 39.141209,-77.546404.







They have an equestrian center at Morven Park now, and also host a wine festival

Continuing on 15 south, another early one located 15 South and Battlefield Parkway at 39.126248,-77.543237.

Last one for tonight. A newer addition, located on Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg at 39.114063,-77.527347.

Okay, I went back and got a shot of the other side of Z-118, the county line marker for Bedford and Franklin counties located on Rt. 122. I'm also reposting the photos of the south view of the sign.

A few notes about today’s adventure
1. I brought the camera but forgot the memory card. Doh! Pictures are iphone quality.
2. I found several signs that are not marked on the Google Maps database of page one. Haven’t checked to see if they are listed on the official Historical Markers website but I doubt it.
3. It took me 90 minutes to upload, edit and type this post. Almost as long as it took to find them in the first place. Lots of man hours going into this thread and the final product.

Oops, almost forgot this one. This is my last VA marker from the ride.

Located about 16-18 miles west of Monterey on Rt 250.
