Anyone else . . .
I'm going for sure. If you've been to Walker or Reiter you've sampled Scott's hard work over the years. Show up even if you didn't know him, because I guarantee you're familiar with his trails. I'm guessing that they'll have a memorial at the end of the race at the lower rock pit, but I'm not positive. If you go there to ride for the day you can swing by the lower rock pit and ask the Skagit folks what the plan is. Hope to see you there!

RIP and God Bless.

It is a very unobservant world we live and ride in, in more ways than one.
I never met Scott but reading this makes me sad.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew him and I ask
Lord watch over us all as we ride.

I'm sorry

I did not have the opportunity to meet Scott. But sounds like he was a fine man! Many on here I know, knew him sounds like. Very very sorry for his passing.
My best to his family!

Rest in Peace Scott Weber

As a long-time dirt rider and a friend of Scott's Father-In-Law, I was asked to
take Scott riding in the desert a few years ago when he visited the Palm
Springs area where I live in the winter.

We rode one day from below sea level up through some canyons into Joshua
Tree National Monument at more than 3,000 feet, and back through a
different set of canyons.

Another day we rode out into the sand washes and more canyons. He and I
got to know each other, and we had a lot in common. He and his Husky were
comrades, without a doubt. I have fond memories of those rides.

He was an excellent rider, although the deeper sand washes seemed to throw
him off his best control. We talked about deep sand and the need to let the
ass end of the bike do what it wants, keeping the speed up to stay on top of
the sand, similar to water skiing.

I had a great time and I know he did too, because he reminisced each time we
met thereafter. It's surreal to know that he's gone. If there's a special place
in Heaven where the finest motorcyclists gather, He's gotta be there!

Rest In Peace Scott

Has anybody heard of any follow up on this?

I was in Tasky's the other day and saw Scott's bike again, and I thought about how it has been a month and I have not heard of where the investigation went on this.

All I can find online is the original reports and some lawyers using the accident to advertise their services (one lawyer site had it twice, with one of the reports getting it wrong - asserting it was a dirt bike accident).

Awesome.
Great Memorial, someone did a VERY nice job on that fire ring.
Complete with beer in the middle.

Wish I knew this guy you all like so much.
I missed out, I'll have to visit that fire ring someday.

Tom and Lori Taylor made the fire ring. A big thanks to them, the Skagit Club and all the volunteers that showed up last night.
