ran across this bike today, the owner was kind enough to let me take some pics.... before my time but this bike is all original! ..figured some people who know more about these on here might enjoy the pics

Done the right thing by putting a Mikuni on it. My Challenger used to eat AMALs - too much going on in the inlet port, I suspect; the slides just used to end up rattling away after only one meeting.

Their biggest distinction was that leading-link front suspension. Under hard use of the front brake the front end would actually rise rather than dive like "normal" telescoping forks. I never owned one but those who did claimed it was a plus, especially on downhills.

Had a 1970 i think greaves griffin 380cc as a youngster(14) back in 1976, used it in local club events was an animal. I think Villiers made the engines or designed them at least, i can remember the engine type was the starmaker it had amal concentric carb and needle roller bearings, i had never come accross any of these before until one went south on it. +1 on the mikuni from the amal.
