Local Colorado solar company

I found a booth at DIA that is selling a flexible solar charging station. I looked up the company when I got home and they are from the Denver suburb of Thornton CO. Do you guys have any experience with the products or the company? This is something that I am very interested in. I would love to support a local company over a harbor freight or similar store.

That said, there's no reason to sell the stock when you still own X shares, and the stock price MAY recover someday. Let me therefore encourage you to buy their products, by all means! (You're not the only guy around who wants to support a local company!)

In truth, Ascent's stock price will not recover until the Chinese start buying their products. For now, the Chinese government is heavily subsidizing their own solar companies, so that's not going to happen in the near term. But ascent has some great products. There's just not much demand for them here.

Thanks for the info. Their prices arent too bad, I think I will pick up one of their flexible portable chargers and see how it goes.

Unfortunately, flexible thin film companies have not done too well. They never seem to catch on. I worked for one until they went out of business. So far, not a single one has been able to become profitable.

Uni-Solar
Global Solar
Mia Sole (had a flex product)
SoloPower

And a few more that I can't think of.
