I like those roof racks.. multi purpose and the drink holders are a nice touch!

If I were ordering a new set of V2's would you be able to weld them on prior to powder coating the cases?

Yeah, I'd like to know about the welding as well. Even though I don't have that option anymore...

The prototypes have been bolted on (not welded). Today we submerged them in water and were pleased to see that no water leaked through. Welding could be an option for new users. However, bolting allows existing users to upgrade. What do you guys think? We're going to continue to use and abuse these to make sure they hold up to the stresses of adventure riding.

Here are shots of the prototype mounting system. First from the outside of the box and then from the inside. The Roof Rack has 4 "feet" and each foot will have a mounting point.

The gasket on the outside and the sealing washer on the inside will keep water out, no doubt. I'd take a pair if you could weld them to my new cases

Micatech, are you planning to have samples off the top rack at the MOA Rally? I am interested in looking at your top case, I currently have Micatech side cases and a BMW Adventure top case. I love the Micatech side cases and hate the BMW top case. (I will have a GIVI top case on the bike for the trip to the rally as my wife hates the BMW case more then I do.)
