Por la sierra

Wanted to visit with some friends in Mexico., So uploaded the F650GS

left from Tx Friday the 27 of July head to Laredo where the idea was to spend the night there but since it was only 3pm decided to continue to Saltillo where I spend the night at my sister .
IAs i ws entering the libramiento in Monterrey ran into this group of BMW riders that were coming back to Mexico city from Missouri turns out that I had meet them last year at the convention in Durango Mx.

they spend the night in Saltillo too so I went to their hotel to chat and asked if I could joint formation since I was going to San Miguel Allende ., We left next day from Saltillo at 8 am this guyas were doing 110mph and I could hardly catch up

we did several stops so it took like 6 hrs they continued to Mexico city . I was to meet my compadre in SMA and spend like three days there., visited Atotonilco a town near by

We visted several clubs and restaurants had good time my next destination was to visit with a friend in Ajijic south of Guadlajara with the Mexico maps on the Garmin had no problem getting there

to be continued

Sounds like fun! How far south will you go? Chiapas, the southern-most state in Mexico, is well worth the trip. Keep on posting and ride safe!

110 mph...

110 mph oh my God¡ You were going too fast...however in the north it can do that, the roads are straight and almost there are no holes. I have ridden to 100 mph max, but I am afraid to small twisters and gust of wind.
nice ride report and pictures, keep posting.
