Thanks for a great travel logbook.

Do you think your KTM 640 would be more adequate for this kind of trip? Maybe more reliable in parts and better suspended from the factory?

I almost did not write this report.

Metaljockey, don't ever think we don't want to hear what seems to you to be repetition about great riding. Many of us will never be able to see Africa first-hand and seeing the stunning landscape and People of African lands, and ANIMALS through your eyes and words is a complete justification for any effort you are willing to put in to share your amazing rides. Keep us posted, man. Oh, and I second a comment I saw earlier about a sound/video clip, if you ever have the opportunity to record the singing, well, African music is a beautiful thing. I would love to hear the singing in the evening in a village in Zambia. Thanks to you and Hennie for taking us along.

My parents where part of both sides of that coin, helping build and staff a bush hospital about 70 miles from your first night destination - the hospital I was born in. We left when I was 2 so I have no conscious memory of the area and the few photos that they have where taken in the dry season so I've been amazed by the lushness in your photos.

From what my parents tell me, your assessment of the people is dead on. Definitely need to plan to return.

Many, many thanks for 'taking' me back.
