Using Streets & Trips

Is there an easy way to choose the specific roads you want to take? Like left clicking along the route (dropping bread crumbs) then click on "get directions" to let the software fill in the exact route. The software has a mind of its own in many cases. This noob thanks you in advance.

With the 2010 version you can drag and drop to the road you want once you have a start and end point route made.

Earlier versions work similarly. With early versions, you had to click the route, then you could drag and drop it. With 2010, all you have to do is hover the pointer over the route before you drag it.

For route planning, I use it much as described, put in my start and end points, and maybe some points in between, to force it to take the general direction I want to go, then let it calculate the route. After its calculated the route, I go back and drag the route to the roads I want to take - sometimes it takes (considerable) zooming in for the "smaller" roads.
