Talking You know he's a 9xx owner

when all speeds are in triple digits and that tires are worn out in an afternoon and if you don't ride it hardcore in the worst possible terrain you're a weakling and should get a Vstrom and be tarred and feathered and banished from OC post haste.

Haha! You nailed it. Although it really does feel like the rear at least actually does wear out in an afternoon. I just put a new karoo 3 on and am scared to do one last ride here before I ship it because I want some tire left when I pick it up on the other side!

True.

My XR650R is my "Little Bike" that I use for trail riding while everyone else is on 250's.

I don't think I like you anymore Questor...yes I have my dream bike now, but you get to have my old dream bike and a 950??? Freaking jerk. My wife would knock me out in my sleep, neuter me then pants me and toss me into the street if I showed up with a 650R to go along with the KTM, lol. She just can't understand why anyone needs any bike much less two. Oh and any sentences containing the words need and tire have been officially banned. If you ever need anyone to exercise that R just let me know.

When you wash it and people laugh at you...

When it's covered in filth and people laugh at you...

When you get on the FS road and theres three people behind you that cant get close because of the flying boulders the Mefo is launching at every curve...

The sick thing is, I also have a Super Enduro and a backup 950 Adventure...

It's more than an addiction.

... You've had it for a week, and already ridden it places you'd never dream of taking a GS!

.... The girl you're giving a 'ride home' asks "wow, why is your bike so intense?"

Haha seriously. I like it though. It's just a place where we can all be overly smug and self-congratulatory without all the eye rolling we get everywhere else we go. These LC-8s do tend to engender a higher level of eh...passion in their owners than most bikes ;)
