You know you ride a 9xx when

The rear tire wears out faster on dirt than slab.
and
When 1/8 turn of the throttle brings on more excitement than 3/4 turn on the XR650

You pin the throttle and the front wheel doesnt come up, the rear wheel goes down.

Awesome perspective.

I love this thing even with the oil changes.

So you know you're a 950 owner when, you change rear tires more often than the oil.

Or

You can live with that smug feeling of self-satisfaction BECAUSE you are a 950 owner.

+1. I go test ride lots of other bikes but I always throw a leg over mine thinking, I don't want any other bike...

You know you ride a 950 when

People ask, "What kind of Kawasaki is that?"

You know you're a 950 owner when...

You continuously ask yourself... Where the hell I'm I? And how the hell did I get myself into this???

You know you are a 950 owner when you keep getting frustrated with all of your "non-950-big-bike-riding" buddies wanna turn back every time the going gets rough fun.

...your only worry on a teeth-rattling, sweaty, rocky, slippery and rutted off-camber trail is whether the temp gauge will stay below 7 bars.

You sell your 04 adventure in the Spring after 5 years and 20,000 miles of ownership and 2 months later start looking for a 950SE because though a 690 is a great bike it just doesn't match the long distance capability of the big twin.
