Thumb My wife has secrets

What does a man look like, when it becomes evident that his wife has secrets?
The secrets, in this case, was that she actually knows how to make sugo all matriciana.

Time for some oranges instead.

If you are lucky enough to stay in Montemagno, so to speak actually Tage's and Capa’s village, you will park your motorcycle right next to pope Eugenio III. So, that’s how your daily commute will look like:
The Pope will send you off into a great motorcycling day…

… just moments before you will have to stand your first adventure.

Than you will enjoy your first views into some sideroads of what is typically Tuscan…

…and if you have eaten out your plate at the evening before, Tage will for sure ad some hints for great roads to pope Eugenio’s prayers.

Earlier in the day, the view out of your window was this one. On clear days, you can see the pending tower of Pisa right behind the tree in the foreground.

For many Tuscany visitors, the marvel quarry of Massa is a must to see. Usually there is no getting close to it, but if you have the right guide, you actually can be part of such quarry:

The one which is on Tage’s schedule, as the saying goes, has the most beautiful view don onto the Massa village and the mediterian sea behind it…. Well, although there was no prove, there was also no reason NOT to belief Tage’s asservations .

As seen on pics above, there was time for raingear, but there was also time to remove it again…:

…and, directly connected to the presence of sunbeams, there was also enough occasion to enjoy local speciality outside...

…and inside. It is quiet a task, finding a spot where 14 hungry bikers can be fed within reasonable time.

Tim’s friend Kevin, which we meat already on an earlier stage of this story over at the Riding in Tuscany thread, flew in from Canada only for this trip. No question he had to tip his toe at least once into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Ice-Man

Italy for sure is also a place where you will experience your own movie-alike scenes. This one is called "The Ice-Man" and goes as following:

In the interest of the actors and for their personal protection, let’s just call them White, Black, Orange, Red and Others.

Location: A piazza, somewhere in the busy centre of a Tuscan City, Italy.
White: Ist very nervous
Black: Is concentrated on the icecream in her hand. Vanilla. She’s listening to the explanations of White.
Orange: Dominates the scenery but is calm, quiet and seems to very much be interested in what White says too.

White: “See, ma deea friends… it haz been so bad wheazza zis yeah so far. Beezznes waz very, very bad so far!”
Orange: “….”
Black: “….”
White: “Bliiz, ma deea friends… domorro! Domorro I have it. Certo!”
Black: Surprised lifting the eyes from the melting icecream. Vanilla. “Tomorrow!? What do you mean with “tomorrow”!?” Icecream, vanilla, is melting down the hands of Black.

Orange: With a warm and deep voice, very slowly speaking. “Giorgio! What you explain to me here and now sounds like there is a big lack of respect. That makes me very sad, Giorgio! I don’t know what to do with you, Giorgio..:-(“
White: Lifting shoulders and widely opens hands to present that there’s nothing in it but sweaty palms “Signore! I have respect! Lotta respect I have, signore! Bliiz! I have zis wondafull new strawberry icecream and people come and buy. Many people! Bliiz calm down. Evarizing will be good.”

Black: Enters the shop and indeed finds some quite excited customer:

Red: Comes along and disturbs the scenery, looking for nothing particular but just as a stupid tourist.

Orange feels disturbed and missunderstood: “Let’s go, Black.” He turns around and leaves the scenery without any greeting but not without repeating over his shoulder, towards White: “Tomorrow. Tomorrow, just after first coffee in the morning…”

Other Others; “Outsh! Il Mathematico is angry! Probably no ice cream anymore here tomorrow…”

Other Others: “Lallalah, we have not seen anything and we have not heard anything too! Yumm, this ice cream is good!”

Edit/Appendix:
Orange and Black slowly walk over to the middle of the intersection on which they parked their freighter. Well, If you want anybody to know you’re in town, park the way anybody knows!
