KTM SMT?

Today I'm lusting after an R1. I know of one for sale, cheap. The story is, it has cosmetic damage. An angry x girlfriend smashed up the front and rear fairings with a hammer and used a broken whiskey bottle to scratch the hell out of the gas tank. The jiffy marker came off rather well.

Why do I want it? I figure it would go good on ice.

Woot! would love to see pics of that smashed her upper for sale. Just curious to see how bad things really got. He must have done some shady shi*.

On the Super duke topic. I loved it. Then I rode the 990SMT and loved it even more.

Screen and a decent tank range! Killer bike for sure.

I know that might sound sacrilegious to the KTM squad although with my suggested softened, longer suspension travel & WB for my aching back, the normal abundant HP would only serve to put me on my bum. So I figured, dial it back a bit and enjoy the ride.

Hell yes.

Also would like something that you have to push-start.

Diavel? Ahhhh.....no. This Yamaha is maybe making 50 or so horsepower and I know it's not about horsepower but this competes more with a.....a.....well, nothing.

Suzuki VX800 maybe?

Just picked up an SMT. Not sure I want to devote funds to a smashed up R1 when there are nice pegs to buy, slip ons, etc to find for the 990.

Umm, yeah, it's not even close, but a great bike anyways.
5 years too late.

Would like a BMW R1200GS adventure, just because of their look :-D
But it's way too big for me. :-(

I guess I'll stick with my Transalp.
