Nice NT650 a few posts back. The painted frame is the least of the mods on that baby.

Yep, I mention it as the only one I wouldn't emulate on mine. I'm tidying up my NT650 this year, and hoping to buying an early CBR600RR to cannibilze for upgrades next riding season.

Comparing it to what I would guess would be the closest current competition in the US, the Kawasaki 300R, I'd say that it'd be a steal if available at that price point! I'd sure like to read a comparison between those two. From what I've read, the 300R is a very nice little bike, but built down to a price. If KTM stays with their usual plan I'd think that the 390 would be built to a higher spec, component wise.

300 pounds and 43 HP, with decent suspension and brakes, would make for a FUN little bike, that's for sure!
