Pointless and stupid, all the while terrifying and hilarious.

Every now and then I feel like a land barge would be nice.

It really depends on your definition of Land Barge - the Norge, R1200RT, ST1300, FJR, and Concours C-14 are in the same game space, while the GL1800, K1300LT, Ultra Glides (and similar), Victory Vision, etc., are the true Land Barges and slab burners.

Take a ride on the Norge, it will surprise you. It's perfect on European roads, and California roads like CA-150, 33, Encinal Canyon, Bouquet, Sand, Spunky, Lake Hughes Road, Cerro Noroeste, etc., but not so much on Decker, Latigo, etc. although it still performs quite well on those.

Grainbelt's definition of land barge: Anything over 500lbs.

I never ride with a passenger, so middleweights have always fit me and my riding style the best. I've put a fair number of miles on an R12RT and there are times that genre of bike is appealing. The other 90% of the time I want something lighter and revvy as hell.

I knew that you were a Guzzi man deep inside...

But then again, what real man isn't?

Stay thirsty my friend.

How could anyone not like that Guzzi?

One of these would be nice.

I want a Honda CX500 with which to relive my youth (it was my first bike). There is one for sale locally for $600. Must . . . resist . . .

I feel like this thread was made for me, as my wants change daily.

For the last few days it's been a V-strom after looking through this thread. Can't upload a pic for some reason though, my computer is junk.
