Should I buy this bike KLX 650

Hello, this bike can be made street legal, It has a headlight and brake light, You will need to apply for title on this as it only comes with the Certificate of Origin, but here is why.
This is the history on this bike as I know it is this, ( This is
as I have been told by Chris Haines ((Most winning Bike rider in Baja 1000
history to date 10 times, and by Bill Tanner ( Tom Morgan Racing)
This bike was originally purchased from Kawasaki directly by Chris Haines
( along with another one) and was readied for the 1995 Baja 1000 by Chris
Haines and his team, which is Baja off Road of California, (
Bajaoffroad.com) when they took possesion of the bike, they ( Per a
conversation with Chris) replaced the frame with a modified race frame (
powdercoated Purple) replaced the stock swing arm with a modified polished
box swing arm, upgraded the inverted forks to a heavy duty style, replaced
the cam, and replaced the valves and replaced the exhaust header and pipe
with new, replace the stock headlight with a dual set, AND wired it for a
BIG spotlight headlight, the mounts are still in place for the Big light,
but I do not have it, replaced the stock tank with a quick fill desert tank,
reset the carb to work for the engine mods and this is all the mods that
Chris told me about, When I bought the bike, It was with the intention of
riding it and kind of making a enduro bike out of it, with the headlight and
tail light it can be done, BUT after making this run after being mothballed
for a while and seeing the kind of power this bike has and just it's sheer
size, it is just too big of a bike for what I wanted. I have not raced it
and actually have ridden it very little just aound my neighborhood enough to
piss off my neighbors lol...... This bike has huge amounts of power and will
kick the ass of any stock one out there and most likely any built one as
well, Per Chris, they had this on radar in 1995 at 117 in the dirt,
So this is what I know about the bike, it is big it is bad ass and needs a
serious rider to really appreciate it for what it is.
When you buy this I will provide you with all the paper work I have on it,
which is not a lot, AND will provide you with the original Certificate of
Origin from Kawasaki as well. This has never been registered and put on the
road, this has always been an off road / race bike.
I am from the best of my knowledge the 5th owner of this bike,

Eh?

In general, the KLX is a great bike. The story is umm....

Bike looks pretty much like a close-to-stock KLX from the outside, with a headlight kit, supertrapp exhaust and that's about it. Most stock KLX's in a good state of tune will top out in the range of 115...

Join the KLX650 yahoo group and post your story and picture there. There are some really long-term KLX owners who'll be able to tell you with more authority. I've only had mine a few weeks and love it.

Good Luck.

KLX.. Should I buy?

The bike is being offered for sale ..and I emailed the seller..and he sent me this story of the bike.

The seat ht is 38inch off the ground and he is 6ft tall and tip toe
on the ground.. I'm 5'8 and I do ride a R100GS and a 1150GS.. but that is a long reach to the ground.

Klx

I had one for 3 days (I was able to test ride used bikes for days on end... in kind of a shady type arrangement) and thought for Baja and dunes it couldn't be beat. Unfortunately, I was riding 50/50 dirt street at the time, and it was just too much for what I was doing... NOW, I would love one as a complement to my Strom

never did see a price, though
