Just back from a dualsport trip through eastern WA.

The area we originally planned to ride in the Methow Valley was snowed-in, so instead after getting through the snow on the passes we metup in Wenatchee and went straight to the local KTM dealer, who pulled out his BLM maps and hooked us up with some local knowledge. With his help, and the help of the KTM dealer in Ellensburg, we connected a fun, circuitous stretch of dirt over mtns and through valleys, skirting just below the snow line for most of the ride. Great area.

This guy, already totally shitfaced, downed an entire pitcher at last call.

2am hot dogs in ellensburg. Just how many "sausage" jokes do the chicks who run this hot dog stand get at 2am? I asked. Answer: a lot.

Got a hotel in ellensburg sat night...

Here's the last group of pics from the final day/night...

We'll be doing lots more moto exploring in this area around Wenatchee, Lake Chelan, and the Methow Valley. Great dualsport potential.

I love the report, pictures, and I own guns.

But from the last few pics it looks like you guys are shooting at some cans in a tree branch. Please tell me that you are not shooting off the top of a mountain or into a valley. Nealry got shot once 1/4 mile away from some people that were trying to shoot a crow in a tree and didn't think about where the bullets were going. And please-this isn't ment to start a political discussion about guns. Happy riding!

Nope we're not shooting off the top of a mountain or into a valley. There's a tall dirt embankment on the other side of that stream, we scoped it out.

Sorry man, no gps routes. However if you check in with the two KTM dealers I mentioned at the top of the post they'll hook you up.

Lived in Eburg while in school and for a couple of years afterwards. The shoe was always one of my favorite dive bars.
