Cabin rental in Central PA

Hey folks!

I've been working on this project for years and it's finally finished. I'm a cabinet and furniture maker in central PA, near Lewisburg, and I built this thing like a giant cabinet, and furnished it with my own work. My wife is an artist and she did a lot of the interior design.

It's five minutes from the 230,000 acre Bald Eagle State Forest which has hundreds of miles of dirt roads and a fair number of legal trails.

Fifteen minutes to historic Lewisburg.

The cabin is not car-accessible, but we do allow dualsport bikes to ride back to it.

ADV Riders get 10% off regular rates.

Great cabin there, misha!

My family has a cabin at Sand Bridge (since the '30s), so I know that area well...spent all my summers up there since I was a tiny tot! Raymond Winter (for whom the State Park is named) was a relative on my father's side of the family.

Good riding in Bald Eagle SF, also! I still go up there pretty often, when I ride back from visiting my kids at Penn State.

I may be doing business with you on your rental. Thanks for posting! -Don

Hey Don!

How cool! We're on Spruce Run, about a mile down from the reservoir. You probably know exactly where that is.

Sure do!

Beautiful forest. I would cringe every time my father (now deceased) and I would drive to the lake, he'd point to the mountains and say "I could've bought 2,000 acres here when I was your age". I could only think, WELL WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU!!!!!

Good luck on the rental...it's a beaut !!

Have you been up there in recent years? Someone has been selling those 2,000 acres in pretty big parcels, like 35-100AC.

Oops, sorry folks, that's $750/week ($250/first two nights + $500/next five nights). Less the 10% ADV discount!

Thumb I've been to the cabin many times for day visits and..

you've got to see it to believe the careful construction and artistry that has gone int to it. A hand made house full of tasteful details.. Secluded and quiet. The deck overlooks a fantastic gorge with a creek at the bottom. There is a beautiful wood fired sauna and shower house just a few feet up the trail. The riding is fabulous in any direction you go. It's got everything!

Suggestion

Great cabin. If time permits I'd love to see more about your cabin, pictures, etc.

My I suggest JoMaMa's "Shiny Things"
under "Show me things you have made".

I think many here would be interested in dimentions, how you did it, etc.

and a bump,
LnC

Great Weekend

My wife and I spent the holiday weekend at Woodcliff and couldn't of picked a better place to get out of the craziness of the city. The cabin was amazing and the host was even better giving us recommendations on where to explore. Spent three full days on the trails and fireroads stretching from Bloomsburg to State College. Thanks again for everything Mike! We will definitely be regulars at Woodcliff.
