Disappointed with my 950..........

It's just no fun getting the latest bike mags when they drop through my letterbox anymore.

I got no interest in these silly little 600cc 100bhp mosquito track bikes, or the latest 186mph 180bhp monster Yakamakahami.

The only thing that is close is the BM but I made the right decision long ago with my deposit in October 2002 for the KTM. Waiting until June 2003 was a long time.

Now I just don't want any of the other bikes. I don't even wanna test ride them. My last bike was an Aprilia Pegaso 650 and what a crock of **** that looks now.

So its boring. I got my dream bike. I don't have another bike to dream about or upgrade to. I guess maybe just a 950SM younger brother is the best I can do now to look forward to.

Anyone else got this terrible problem?

Nope, but I'll be happy to relieve you of your ride if it's causing too much distress! I'd love to find an S model.

why do we feel so superior?

Because we are superior.
What I like best is blowing the wannabies off the road.
I like it when the road goes to hell and I take it. Other bike riders go to hell.
In my 73 years I've had a lot of bikes, but the LC8 is the most mind blowing creature I've every been on.

Laugh No Typo

KTMax

Not a typo.

Didn't I see you at the "Elefantentreffen" in 1996. Maybe not there were 6000 of us. Maybe a couple of times in Norway on the way to Nord Cap. Yeh at my age it's hard to remember.

Too cold? Join me this season in New Zealand for 5 months. It's summer time. There are tons of Dutch people there speaking kiwi ease. Get out of Holland, it rains too much.

Motto: don't give, up get it on every f-----day when you get out of bed.

I feel the same way, my poor 1150RT just sits in the corner gathering dust. I took it out Sunday only because I felt sorry for it. Just not as much fun any more...

...and that's why I haven't seriously looked at a nine-fiddy... I'm figuring that a nine-fiddy in the stable would mean no RT riding...

I'm so upside down on the RT that I can't acutally afford to sell the thing, so I'm stuck lusting after an LC8 from afar.

Damn! If I knew then what I know now...

Pfew... 73 and enjoying your 950. Boy am I impressed...

I'd love too go to New Zealand but I only fly if I really have too. Mostly for my work. A monster-flight like to NZ is a nightmare for me. Although I am thinking about signing up for a 9 day trip with KTM to South Africa ('only' 8 hrs from NL). Riding through Africa with Dakar crack Alfie Cox. I guess it doesn't get much better than that.

I hate my 950.
I used to ride my tricked out 998 Bostrom all the time. Then the 950 showed up and the Ducati sat, and sat and sat.
Now the Ducati has been sold.
Why would KTM build such a bike anyways?

Cool2

I really love my 04 KTM 950 and I do ride it the most but I still find time to ride my other bikes. I guess I'm lucky as I can ride through the winter in Southern Utah and in and around the Las Vegas area. To cold and snowy up here in Park City UT.
