Mine has it too.
Calling the dealer now.
1) canister hose re-route (although I'll prob rip it out anyway soon)
2) fuel sensor
3) cracked tank.
Guess I've held out long enough.
Getting too hot to ride during the daytime anyway, may as well knock it out now.

ooooo... Nice update.
Dealer already has a new tank in (for another customer who has been unresponsive) and can get me in/out in a couple of days. Woohoo! She goes in tomorrow...

noticed mine cracking yesterday. Is the replacement tank actually a redesign, or is it identical and subject to identical problems?

I have read on here (the 'net) somewhere that it has been re-designed.

Update:
Look at post # 13 above...

I just talked to my dealer and he now says he confirms they are replacing them with new tanks (redesigned). I'm going in this weekend!

Cool2

Yep. New design, indeed. I took my bike in yesterday and it is ready for pickup today. The dealer DID confirm that it is the newly designed tank.
So my bike is up-to-date with regards to recalls, fixes, etc.
For now...

Just got a call from my dealer. BMW refused to replace my cracked tank. WTF?? Looks like I will have to do some bitching. And I was informed that the chain and sprockets will be replaced under warranty/recall. If I wait long enough, maybe I'll just get a whole new bike!

Don't worry about it, you can have your dealer call other dealers and confirm they are replacing the tank. If that doesn't work then call BMW and have them straiten your dealer out.

How can this be? You have a bike UNDER WARRANTY with a cracked (whatever). Don't go in talking "recall" as there is none. Just have it replaced under the warranty. Like you would if the frame cracked (without it being in a wreck).
