I live in Seattle, so mine gets more than it's fair share of rain.

Before the recall for the T-piece I had no issues. I then removed the charcoal canister and had no issues either.

Concerning locking up the rear on downshifts, learn to match revs. It is a skill worth having even when it's dry outside.
