I have 3 different Rukka jackets and a BMW RP2. All four jackets are euro size 54 and fit basically the same. From my experience, the sizing runs very similar between Rukka and BMW.

Could you compare the quality differences between your Rukka jackets and your RP2?

+1. For me, BMW Rallye 3 in EU 52 (US 42) fits the same as Rukka Athos and Gobi in size EU 52.

Thank you for the review.
Unzipped you can see the inside liner, a crotch strap and zipper to link up to riding pants: I bought the jacket three years ago -very satisfied-. I always tought the crotch strap was supposed to be used to link in some way with the Rukka pants when you did not want to use the zipper. ![]() ![]() ![]() I will try it when the snow melts. |

The crotch strap is to keep the jacket from riding up and exposing your lower torso in a crash when NOT linked to a pair of pants with the zippers. If you are wearing compatible pants, use the zipper for that function.

Rukka AirVision
I bought the AirVision jacket and pants a couple years ago when I guess I felt 'flush'. Got the jacket it from Bikerland.de for about $950! WTF was I thinking? It has a removable Gortex liner that can be inflated with air, but the outside is breathable. In 110 degree weather with a wet vest I felt just fine in bothe the jacket and pants.
The very best part about Rukka is the fit and finish, attention to detail, and total comfort. The armour is superb, comfortable and not binding and it breathes. I've tried nearly every jacket that BMW makes. The Rukka stuff is no doubt superior in comfort and fit. I can't believe you can buy a Rukka jacket for around $450! ![]()

I wonder if our voice changes when we adjust our crotch strap too tight?

hey fishseason, 4 or 5 yrs ago went to Finland with a cache of money thinking i could buy a full kit of Rukkas, and wrap them around new Genelec speakers. Wow! The prices there are equal to prices here. But i was hooked and finally found a brand new/used jacket i could try on and get a great price. glad that sucker didn't fit ya, cause it does me to a tee. great jacket, thx

My cheap alternative
I really fancied the Rukka Arma S jacket but browsing the web I came across this Frank Thomas Raptor jacket - It only cost me £50 and so far has proved both warm, waterproof and very comfy - I love it for the fit which like Rukka is not too long but not too short - it's just right as Goldilocks once said !
