Power/Audio cable for 2610

What is the correct male connector size for the audio female jack on the Power/Audio cable for the Garmin 2610? I have a Baehr comm system on my GS 1998 and want to hear voice. Cable from the Baehr is 3.5mm male stereo, and the Garmin female is 2.5mm I thought. Bought an adapter from Radio Shack (3.5 stereo to 2.5 mono) and it doesn't seem to seat correctly. What is up?

Never mind.....found out that audio cable is not functional...apparently comes that way.
