690 Enduro R Windscreen

Does anyone know if the KTM Hard Parts windscreen for the 690 enduro can be adapted easily to fit the "R?"
Thanks
Dan

i bought the hard parts screen , for my 2010 r and have been unable figure any good way to position it , it just doesn't seem to fit well anywhere , except on the workbench , interferes with the brak hose , and doesnt match up with the shap of the headlight

The screen you bought is for the non 'R' model. The basic 'Enduro' has a different headlight which accepts the screen and is a better headlight overall.
Not sure about the US KTM web site but in the UK the screen does not show on the hardparts section for the 690 'R' only the standard 'Enduro' model and there is a comment to say it doesn't fit the 'R'.

Regards.

Hey MF,

As in my previous reply, there is no part number for an 'R' wind shield, they only make it for the standard E headlight which is different to yours.

Regards.

I did the same thing. Ran the cables behind the screen instead of in front. Not perfect but after awhile I have forgotten about it and it works great.

Don't bother with KTM wind shield it's useless.
Buy something bigger that can be mounted on handlebar and you can removed it when you don't need it.

I read that the enduro R headlight is weak. Can the regular enduro headlight, p/n 7650800100004 be used on the R?
Then the touring windscreen fits mint (p/n 7650806500)
Is the enduro light brighter than the R's?
thanks

I am going to buy a 2012 enduro r in the spring if they don't have any left over 11's
