Just went and took some pictures of my light. Cyclops sells a bracket that goes on the frame for the 8" light. I bought my whole setup from him and just used the speedo once out of the plastic as a template to drill the three holes. He is a great guy and runs a great company with top notch products. It is very easy to do the challenge I had was mounting the hid ballast.

Wonderful!! Thanks a lot! I'm going to see if that bracket will fit the dual light setup. I have the single 8" LaPaz on my XRR and I love it!

Front fender

Hello all!

I am looking for a 950 Super Enduro front fender in BLACK colour, does anyone know where can I find one? My local dealer can only get a orange one, but I need black because it goes on my project bike.

Thanks!

To my knowledge (US) the SE never came with a black fender; however, any four bolt pattern EXC fender will bolt right up.

690 Super Enduro is exact same front fender, but in black. Bolts up perfectly. I'm running one on my 950SE.

http://www.ktmtwins.com/ktm-950-990-...uro-fender-kit Just select "BLACK" in the color options.

I got the flashing oil pressure light and dreaded collapsed oil filter this weekend, was able to shut it down and truck it home.

When I drained the oil I expected to see coolant or water in the oil, to my surprise, the oil looked normal.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

I've ordered a water pump kit from KTM Twins and will rebuild anyway.

07 SE with 19,000 miles

Not sure when it was done last.

rebuilt my WP at 6000 miles. Everything looked fine. Shaft showed no wear. I didn't have the milkshake on the clutch cover. I didn't even get the collapsed oil filter. But clickety-clack-smack whammo, she would sputter and die. Put in a new CJ Designs kit and it's been perfect for the last 5000 miles. I think my seal just failed.

I made one a couple years ago so a little foggy,,, but as a I remember, put the key in the lock, remove the cross pin on the bottom and the whole tumbler assembly slides out.

690

hi
I read somewhere about a 690 screen fitting a SE or something like that anyway.
I do like a bit of wind protection.
Or anything else that would do the trick.

690 Supermoto screen works best imho. Also 690 Enduro will fit. Height and wind protection is about the same, also price ca 50 Euro. Based on design I prefer SuMo screen. Have this on my bike over 40000km now and quite happy until 120kmh, over that for longer rides I would prefer something higher.

Brown Wire Experts?

Good evening gents

We are in Colombia and sometimes it is very hard to find their "extra" fuel which is high octane, only available is Corriente which is the middle stuff.

I have notice when we pass a truck or something while at elevation we get a ping or two.

So two aspects for my question here, the "extra" fuel is about $1.20 per gallon dearer which is about 20% - 25% when we can get it so,

1, if we pull the brown wire how much loss of performance or mileage is there?

2, Would the loss be 20% or will we even notice the difference? because the cost for the "extra" fuel is dearer it might be worth pulling the brown wire and staying with the normal stuff which is easy to get.

Just food for thought as fuel is one of the bigger costs on our budget and the fuel is only going to get worse south from what I understand.

Input from those in the know welcomed

Cheers Andi
