Welcome aboard

Too little or too much fuel pressure

Stock fuel pump ?

Does it rev up fine n neutral ?

Did it do this after a tip over ?

Thanks for reply.

Facet fuel pump? No tip over. What else?

Where does everyone buy oil filters and oil drain plug washers/gaskets? Ktm 950 SE.

I haven't found a site that carries both.

I buy my filters at a dealership a few at a time and I'm still on the original drain washer!

Sweet! I thought they were one time use! Thanks!

The manual says not to use other than OEM oil filter but K&N has never steered me wrong in the past.

Next time, I'll least look at the directions...

Another SE Question, possibly a stupid question.

I did the first oil change on my SE. Just went for it, removed the cyclnder screen, the flat screen, the oil filter, and the side drain plug leaned it to both sides and drained it until no more oil came out. gave it about 30 minutes to drain while I worked on other stuff.

Re-assembled with new oil filter and added 3 quarts of Rotella T as suggested by Rekluse website.

Warmed it up to 5 bars and then filled it up with the other .75 quarts to get it 1/2 way on the glass when level. I decided to clean off the oil and grime that built up under there when I found the main oil drain plug.

Being that it took a 3.75 qts do you think I drained enough oil? Or would it be in my interest to go get another jug of oil and start over and re-use the oil filter.

Filter looked good, no particles in either of the screens.

It's fine. On my 950 Supermoto I found that if I removed the drain plug, then the screen I would get a little more oil out but if I removed the screen, then the drain plug I got nothing more out, so that was the last time I removed a drain plug on an LC8 - two of them - and never lost a motor.

Akrop cans -- 950 ADV fit a SE

So...will they? I am looking to buy a super enduro (who isn't?). One bike that I am considering still has the OE units. I was wondering if I could swap the Akrop's off my ADV and put them on the SE?

yes you can - same 3 bolt fixing. In fact my local dealer used to fit SE cans to the Adv's as the end of the can was directed "down", which became horizontal, and gave a better look.

cheers

Quick question: Want to go on a ~2000 mile ride with a friend who will be on a sport tourer so it will be 100% street, and hopefully 90% twisties.
What is the best tire for the SE for aggressive street riding?

I know on my 950 Adventure the Pirelli Scorpions were very good street tires, I appreciate any suggestions for the SE. With this motor and this suspension, I am expecting there is some ridiculous rubber that will facilitate some sportbiker embarrasment..

I think one of the only "pure" street tires in the SE sizes are the Bridgestone BT45 Battle Axes, they are pretty good street tires from my experience on my K bike and RD 400
