We haven't had any issues with these, are you over tightening them or torquing them up.?

Sorry can't answer about the casings.

See HERE

If it's leaking or seaping, retorque... 10NM. If it doesnt seal, replace the copper washer, or anneal (soften) it.
So I should be able to pull that bolt out, clean it, install new washer and reinstall to 10NM?

Yep

If you have an se, the oil tank has no check valve. So lay the bike on its left side to remove and replace... Minimal to no oil loss if done briskly. The adventures have a check valve won't have much in the sump.

Hi OC,

Does anyone have detailed pictures showing bracket ideas to support the digital speedo display once the stock headlight is removed? I'm looking at installing the Baja Designs LaPaz Dual 8 inch headlights on my SE once I get out to California (the bike's in storage in Cali right now and I'm on the east coast). I want to know if this is something I could fab up in a hotel parking lot, or something I can build before I go and bolt on. From what I gather (and remember I don't have the bike in front of me), the speedo unit is held by the stock plastic headlight housing.

Thanks.

Just went and took some pictures of my light. Cyclops sells a bracket that goes on the frame for the 8" light. I bought my whole setup from him and just used the speedo once out of the plastic as a template to drill the three holes. He is a great guy and runs a great company with top notch products. It is very easy to do the challenge I had was mounting the hid ballast.

Wonderful!! Thanks a lot! I'm going to see if that bracket will fit the dual light setup. I have the single 8" LaPaz on my XRR and I love it!

Front fender

Hello all!

I am looking for a 950 Super Enduro front fender in BLACK colour, does anyone know where can I find one? My local dealer can only get a orange one, but I need black because it goes on my project bike.

Thanks!

To my knowledge (US) the SE never came with a black fender; however, any four bolt pattern EXC fender will bolt right up.

690 Super Enduro is exact same front fender, but in black. Bolts up perfectly. I'm running one on my 950SE.

http://www.ktmtwins.com/ktm-950-990-...uro-fender-kit Just select "BLACK" in the color options.

I got the flashing oil pressure light and dreaded collapsed oil filter this weekend, was able to shut it down and truck it home.

When I drained the oil I expected to see coolant or water in the oil, to my surprise, the oil looked normal.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

I've ordered a water pump kit from KTM Twins and will rebuild anyway.

07 SE with 19,000 miles

Not sure when it was done last.

rebuilt my WP at 6000 miles. Everything looked fine. Shaft showed no wear. I didn't have the milkshake on the clutch cover. I didn't even get the collapsed oil filter. But clickety-clack-smack whammo, she would sputter and die. Put in a new CJ Designs kit and it's been perfect for the last 5000 miles. I think my seal just failed.

I made one a couple years ago so a little foggy,,, but as a I remember, put the key in the lock, remove the cross pin on the bottom and the whole tumbler assembly slides out.
