When my blinkers stopped working all connecters were fine so I ended up adding a separate ground for the rear lights . Been fine for the last 10,000 km.

I got tired of mine looking like that inside and used a wrap of scotch 88 around where the lens meets the body, too much crap gets in the drain hole.

Well I got a stonking head cold which has really thrown my dancing shoes in the corner, in bed shivering then hot (no nothing to do with Halle Berrie either ) .... feel like an old man.

Shifted Maya to a new (and better) hostel hopefully tomorrow will improve so I can take a look at her.

Cheers gents

Afternoon gents

Well after pulling the indicator lens again and shuffling wires, pulling them off and pushing them on the problem is still there.

Sometime they go ok, sometimes they go fast, sometime on a complete holiday.

With my limited electrical unexpertise it would seem like an earthing fault.

There are no holes in the plastic cause all the smoke is still inside the wires.

Might look at an extra earth wire maybe, good ideas?

You got me. I guess those special reading classes did me little to no good.

I think it is your relay, mine did exactly that, then failed completely
It's a cheap part, so worth trying :)

I recently put one of Trail Techs TTO tachs on my 2006 950sm. It works fine. Just be sure you wrap the wire around the plug under the coil and as close to the head as possible. Since where one wraps the pickup wire is much larger diameter than a spark plug wire, I cut the sheathing back so I could get more wraps. Look around on you tube and you'll find a short instructional video that mentions where to wrap the wire on plugs that have the coil attached.

Hello,

My 950se is made up by several donor bikes after a crash of some sorts by the previous owner. I am now looking for a replacement exhaust, but I'm not sure if the exhaust system is from a 950se.

Anybody any clues?

The can in your picture is just a standard factory 950/990 end can - off an Adventure, SM, SMT, SMR, SuperDuke... As far as I know all the end cans are the same. The headers are different on several models though.

There is a slight difference between the SE and Adv exhausts at the tail end. One is squared off the other is skewed. Other that than they are the same and fully interchangeable.
