Awww thanks! Your wife would love it. The hot springs are truly rewarding after a crazy ride through the desert. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing too.

Hi guys, nice ride report. I live in Burney and ride out to Gerlach all the time. I spent a week in the northern part of the desert at a camp ground called Virgin Valley. It has a hot spring swimming pond. It's a great place to camp and has many great roads to ride.

Great 1st report!

The Black Rock has been on my radar scince I first found out about Burning Man. Not really the Burner type , but I do like deserts.

I'll head down that way from Seattle in a couple more years and Lassen is on that trip also.

Thanks Mike. We were looking at that area on the map, sounds wonderful. Next time we will definitely hit the more northern areas.

Lassen is awesome too, worth riding through for sure. Watching the man burn is quite a sight. We rode across the area where BM took place last year, and there is seriously no trace left at all.

We're headed that way in an RV for a month or so at the end of July and are making our first trip to Burning Man while we're out there. Your report has me convinced that I need to find time to ride while I'm out there. Then again, August might be a tad bit toasty.

Cool!! It will be okay to ride then--just a bit windy, which equals more Playa dust. Have fun!

Great report, I've read the other reports on the area and it looks like a great place to go. Did you plan a route out before, or just wing it and luck out finding the Hot Springs? Cool to see other couples riding off-road together. My wife and I did a trip for our Honeymoon, and now we can't wait to go again.

We had been out there a few times and knew about Trego the first spring. Before we left, we checked out the general area for interesting things. So we had an idea, but once you get out there you have to wing it because most of the roads are not marked at all. It was a good time!!
