F800GS with Gobi and H&B Rack

A few months ago, I purchased a used set of Hepco & Becker Gobi side cases for my F800GS. I ordered a new Hepco & Becker side case rack from F800 Depot.

This past weekend I was able to finally pair the two up. The finish of the side case racks is excellent. They are sturdy as hell and the total installation took me a couple of hours, but it could easily be done in an hour or less. The rack comes with very clear installation instructions. I do like the fact the side case racks can be easily removed if you wanted to with just the twist of a few mounting screws.

It certainly is a wide load, but they will suite my riding style and application quite well.

Here are some photos of the install.

What's included in the box.

Before the install.

Cheers,
Pete

Thanks for posting. I had the H&B rack and Junior bags on my old VStrom and they were great, I've been contemplating going with the Gobi's on the F8.

Is the left bag canted outward a little, or is it just the angle the photo was taken at?

It's canted a little. I have the H&B frames too, but they don't fit with the Akrapovic pipe. Otherwise, they're everything written above.

(I also had H&B Juniors on my Wee - good choice, my friend!)

It is canted a little. Neither bag is locked into the rack yet since I'm still waiting for the latch plates to arrive.
