Oh WOW! I got a chance to try the new LED light bar out tonight.
Drove up to the cottage tonight. Night being the key word. If you
ride at night all you have to get this light! The difference is amazing.

When I had to turn it off for on coming cars it was like I was driving blind.
Very pleased. I knew the OEM lights were kinda marginal, the light bar
makes them look like candle light.

I also got to give the VStream tall touring screen a good test ride. I have not trimmed
it down and don't think I will. Got use to looking through it. I was wearing a full face
flip helmet. It was total dead air. Normally if I lift the face sheild a little it will buffet and
make reading road signs hard. No buffeting at all. I also ride with music. It was almost like
I was in a car. I could hear everything at a lower sound level. The down side is there is
no sensation of wind speed. Several times I looked down and was doing triple digits
and had no feel for it at all. For distance slab riding it will be my shield of choice.

The color is so much more white with the LED on. The stock beam looks weak
and yellow when you're on the bike. There wasn't any difference when I flipped
the light over tonight.

I've had the same LED lights on the Super Tenere for a few months now and they have been the single best mod if you have to ride at night.
See post here... http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=20

The light output is great, just don't expect to see a kilometre down the road. I have the driving beam pattern which is basically similar to a flood pattern for normal lights.

Cheers,
Dave.

I'm solo this weekend and decided to take the Tenere on a trail ride. I do have
other better suited options in the garage but what fun would that be?

First I run into those pesky rim dinging bash plate bending trail wrecking projectiles.

Then it looks like it's end of the trail. I parked the bike and hike a few yards ahead.
I do the stupid math and figure the bike can make it. Me? Another story.

Just past this is slimy surface mud, roots and rocks. Couple times it was TC off rocking
wheel spinning trauma to get over stuff.

Of course these guys come by shaking their heads.

Once I was out of the shade and trees it dried out enough to go for the glamor shots.

This is the show us your bike thread, right?

Now I've got to get out of here.

Back into the slime pits. This is where I don't get the "Need to shut off the ABS" crowd.
The Tenere never free rolled or did anything goofy. I would never even had noticed the ABS.

Just have to go up that trail over the summit and it's groomed gravel home.
Of course while stopping to get a drink and take a photo I forgot to turn the TC off.
Towards the top of that hill it's loose and a little steep. No power, I made it fine just
kick myself for how many times I forget to change it, then really need the electrics
to leave me alone.

I took off that barn door of a VStream off for the ride. I do like it on the slab.

This was taken from my back deck. The hill is the front side of the one in the
previoius photo. Hundreds of miles of trails. I've not even begun to figure them out
five minutes away.

This is out the front of the home. The lake is just in front of the trees. Dirt road
goes to beach and boat ramp. Had to cover all the bases.
