I was amazed the first time I went to USA looking that enormous camper vans (like buses) pulling a car (huge), and in the roof quads, bikes….
I imagine they need a month to pack everything to have a week of holidays.
In your bikes is the same: lots of bags… and of course cup and bottle holders!!

already had holes in it. Not the best shot, but you can just see it

Not all Americans travel that way!

Granted, I wasn't camping on either journey, but I don't haul much more when I have camped... And either way I have to haul some medical support gear with me no matter where I go. I used to have to travel a *LOT* via air in a business I was in, and there more than any other I learned all too often "Less is More"!!!

Packing light sure helps the motorcycle's handling, too!

Those are plain ol' stock Yamaha Super Tenere handlebars. I've got 'em mounted in a set of Rox "Pro-Offset" block risers...

And I've got 'em rotated back in the clamps a bit more than Yamaha had 'em in the stock clamps.

Mind you, I'm not a fan of the stock handlebars. Too much sweepback at the grips for me, but I've learned to live with it for the time being, mainly because I just ride the damn thing too much. I just don't want the down time experimenting with other bars. Still, one of these days I'm going to end up with some with much less sweep and maybe a 1/2" more height.

I start a year ahead just so I don't forget anything...

If I drop it I remove all the beer, drink it, then just leave the bike there and go buy another....then start packing for next year's trip....

Looking down at Valley of the Gods road, yep rode that to.


Snow flats Rd two up, didn't make it far before having to turn around. The sand washes were muddy and it became work not fun.


We are headed back to Utah this year for two weeks. I have unfinished business there. Only this time I'll have K60's on the bike.
