"Yer goin' to need a bigger boat!" It looks like 200 Hp at the motor and 20 at the rear wheels. Could it be because it's a black SUV?

If Yamaha was as smart as BMW in terms of marketing, the stock S10 would look a lot more like that

I have been out of riding for a while due to finances or lack there of. But............I am now looking at getting one of these new Yamahas. My last bike was a 2010 BMW 1200 GS Adventure but I REALLY like this new Yamaha. This may not be the thread so please feel free to redirect me but I was wanting to know how you guys like the new bike. How does it handle and compare to the competition. Any issues to be aware of and etc.............
Thank you...................these things are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! |

This should get you started... Work backward from the last page. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...8#post20672958 And don't forget the dedicated Yamaha Super Tenere web forum. ADVrider frowns on posting links to it here, but maybe this will help get you there... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=yamaha+super+tenere+forum Enjoy! Dallara ~

Hi Duane,
Just pop over to the YAMAHA SUPER TENERE big thread for that. When you have one post the pics here... but the simple answers are. 1) It is pretty well bullet proof, although that's just conjecture as no one has had any reason to shoot one yet. 2) It is a proper all road bike not a jacked up street bike so it has a different set of compromises than more HP faster lap times etc. 3) Every time I get on mine I appreciate what it does. It will be with me for a while. If YAMAHA release an XT900z that may change but it may not. 4) I am not a bike swapper or a YAMAHA fan boy...well maybe this bike has made me a bit of a fan boy.
