I was up at Spangler which is just north of Randsburg on Trona Rd. There are SO many places to ride down there its amazing.

Flowers were quite a sight too. Yellow and purple everywhere.

I'm glad I came home last night. My brother-in-law is driving to Vegas and he says he's seen four rollovers and a TON of other wrecks along 58 because of the wind and rain. It's a mess down there right now.

We went down Trona Road for awhile, before we got back in the dirt. You could see Wagon Wheel from one of the hills we were on. Sounds like we got pretty close to the event?

Most of it doesn't look too bad but, there are some rough spots that could be a struggle on a big bike, and apparently a small bike too.

Also, it's limited to 50 riders I believe? There were only 15 spots left when I signed up last week.

I know someone who's selling a DRZ400S if your interested in a smaller bike. Here's the link.

Yeah you were right on top of us then. We were about two miles east of Trona Rd on Stephens Mine Rd right where it intersects with the gas pipeline road. If you remember seeing a few dozen RVs off to the east in that area that was us.

Turns out I finished in 32nd place out of 73 riders and did not finish last in my class. My goal was to not finish last in my first enduro on my not so up to par bike and I exceeded that so I am pretty happy!

We have a fun Adventure Bike Night planned next week, Wed March 30th! All brands welcome.

We will be BBQing some good food and we also have some awesome presentations scheduled for the evening.

The weather is warmer and the rain is gone for now so, I went riding.

I rode around Bass Lake, Oakhurst and Coursegold.

I ran into trouble in the higher elevations. It had only recently just stopped raining so, there were a lot of closed roads and very muddy conditions on the roads that were open. The snow wasn't that bad, but just added to the wet conditions.

This doesn't look that bad, but that red clay is slippery to ride in. I got a little further in it and decided to turn around when I came upon some deep ruts. I was already sliding around pretty good, and I don't like to be too stupid when I'm riding by myself.

I decided it was too muddy to stay in the mountains so, I headed west of Coursegold and rode in the foothills. The conditions were better and I had more fun, instead of wondering if when I was going fall in the mud.

Eastman Lake.

I rode to the top of this hill and took a few photos.

I saw this side trail and decided to see where it went?

Just some cows grazing on some fresh green grass, so I turned around and headed home.

Turned out to be a great day to ride.
