Planning on riding some this weekend, been finding some new (to me ) roads east of Mariposa heading up from Jerseydale Road. Headed up Hite 4WD trail last weekend, but it got too steep and off camber for me alone!!!
Anyone interested in riding that area...was thinking of trying to head over to Devils Peak Fire lookout and then back on Chowchilla Mt Road....

Yes I know that area. I have been down Hite Cove on my BMW 650GS Dakar and up Shuteye peak as well, but both would have been better suited for my WR 426F. But I was alone so company would have helped. I am just East of you in Le Grand.

Glad to see this thread is still alive. Would love to get out and do some exploring Pinecrest/Mariposa it all sounds good. I will be doing the Reno 200 next weekend but after that no open weekends till October. If we could pull off some sort of ride in October that would be great!

Sorry I missed your earlier post, I was out for a short one today....but maybe in the future we can hook up..it is always nice in Yosemite, just stay away from the Deer Mice Crap!!!

For sure. When I pulled onto Hwy 140 from Cunningham Rd. I pulled out just behind some one on a Beemer and was wondering if it was you. He pulled off of 140 onto the Old Road. We need to stir up the locals and get them to saddle up.

I saw you behind you there and should have stopped but was on a time crunch and just did a little out and back.. You pics look like it was a good day up in the park. Maybe we can get a ride organized in the next few weeks?

I would be up for suggestions

Mine is a 02. That trip up north looked like some cool stuff

Bruce, did you have any ideas? Are you just talking about a day ride or, an over nighter somewhere?

was thinking of a day trip but an overnighter would be kind of cool..how about maybe something from the valley up to Tahoe and back, via dirt, I think there are some pretty well documented routes that connect the highways (120,108,88 and 50) ]. Just an idea, meet along 120, weekends work for me as my wife works Sat and Sunday..
Maybe leave on a Friday afternoon and finish up Sunday, just some ideas?
