Hey coarsegoldkid
Not the best with Google Maps but I think this is about it. The ride is nothing to tough, some loose stuff now and then but no rutted out areas, you do need to watch for traffic, as it seems lots of 4X4 use this roads,

https://maps.google.com/maps/myplace...z=420&t=m&z=11

If you are planning on riding it I would tag along if you are going this weekend, I never took the route from Chowchilla Mt Road to Fish Camp, although there is a definite turn off that is marked if you are coming from the West.

You have to drop down to mariposa there are no direct routes between the south and north sides of the merced

Anyone ridden Crane Flat Road out of El Portal. Seems it ties into Old Coulterville road and then tie into Anderson Flats area ( bull creek road area) any locked gates ?
Thinking about heading up there this week anyone interested?

Im looking over this as I would like to explore up North. How many miles do you show? All I get on my end is the yellow hiways and no data.

I think if you select Summit Camp route and it should highlight the route, looks like it is roughly 46 miles

I guess Im too dense, I dont see anywhere where a route, track, or waypoint is selectable or even named. It just looks like a zoomed in area of the map.

Thanks

Maybe look at the upper left corner, under the Google sign, perhaps the menu bar is minimized?

Try selecting the little tab and it should open up...I am not an expert at this but when I select the link it is already open, perhaps because I created the map...??

Much better! I'm still dense though!

Thanks, I hope to get up there for some rides soon. I'm leaving Clovis Friday, meeting my friend on another Xc in Cambria then up hwy 1 to limekiln for the night then half moon bay the next day. I may swing by this route on the way home.

I've ridden Old Coulterville road to Foresta. It takes you past Little Nelly Falls.

Here's a link but, you've seen this already.

Tony, any time you want to ride up here give me a call. Getting a little old to be on the big bike doing some of this stuff by myself.

PM'd my phone number.
