The Red Bluff office has a fenced yard that could be a great option. I also know of a few shops in Red Bluff.

^^ what? Yo pappy work in Red Bluff? I have a very good friend who has been there for 25+ years.

ktmk - mind sharing what you will be doing in our lovely neck of the woods? I'm up in Corning so probably not an option for you to store a bike but I have room, maybe you can just do a pump efficiency test for me....

I'm working on the rewind crew in Oroville. If you can stand a tag along for a Sunday ride keep me in mind.

What a small world...

My father in law worked for the DWR. Retired a few years ago out of Sac.

I didn't realize that 1/2 of the North State was employed by the DWR! No wonder we can't afford to raise the dam at Shasta.

J/K, DWR has an impossible job this year and no one will end up being pleased with the results.

Great pictures!

Seeing the old bikes motor up the hills on the Trials day was a lot of fun. I thought surely some of the guys were going to stop dead but the bikes just kept chugging. I imagine the motors in this race were tuned for the other end of the rpm range. The Matchless on the end of the first photo is almost a twin of my 2nd bike, a 500cc AJS. I even had a very similar exhaust pipe. It was great fun to putt thru town at night and retard the spark all the way back. Got a nice blue flame coming out of the pipe.

Weekend fun

I rode both Saturday and Sunday's events. rained buckets on Saturday and cleared for Sunday. Wet and sloppy. Proud of my effort with a win both days. 1 line Saturday and Sp/Int Sunday. Camped out in the pouring rain, but had plenty of tarps and easy up's. Great weekend. Prairie City OHV park.

Bored as hell, I have too much to do to be sitting around but kind of tough to work on the bikes or in the yard on crutches and in a cast. I'm hoping in 2 weeks they put me in a boot. If they operate my summer goes in the crapper.

Why haven't you ridden one ? You like motorcycles ?
Do you want to try one ?

Maybe you should come ride one. My backyard, this Sunday afternoon.

I will even sell you one if you like.

I do like motorcycles, between street/dual purpose/singletrack/dirt touring bikes I seem to not have time to ride the ones I have. And there's the road/Mt Bikes to consider.

But those new-ish trials bikes are trick no doubt.
