Not sure how dusty it was but ask Brein he was behind me picking up my crap as if cascaded off the bike. Didn't wrap up in the chain too bad, but that hot exhaust it was pinched against didn't do it any good...

Really wasn't too dusty - just a little bit where it had some sun exposure.

Ha,I was heading up to go trailriding mid winter, going up a rocky bumpy road. Evidently the tailgate fell down and everything fell out of the back of the truck except the bike, chairs, complete riding gear bag,box of incidentals, nice alu folding ramp, all strewn down the road.

Luckily a club member was driving behind me patiently stopping and picking stuff up.

If that 690 is getting to be a burden, just let me know.

Laugh Hah Hah....

"If that 690 is getting to be a burden, just let me know. "

Looked to me like he was enjoying the heck out of the 690. That was really his only mis-hap unlike me who decided to crash shortly after his episode, I didn't loose his shoes.
RR forthcoming.

The 530 went down? I nearly crashed one time I rode Usal road,it was rutted and deep silt and the boxes on the back of the DR were totally in the way of my dog paddling legs.

The loss of shoes would have been a bummer.

It'll be in tommorrow episode of the ride report that I started here:
http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...3#post24615293

I wish I could blame the bike but...........

As for the dust very little, foggy and drizzly a lot of the day. We were in and out of it most of the day.

it could have been worse.

Stuff falling off bikes... Adds to the adventure. That was what I told myself when I had to backtrack for 3 hours looking for the keys to my truck that fell out of my tail pack along the trail. Zipper had failed. Didn't notice for a long time. Eventually found them right in the middle of the trail. Found most of the tools that were in there too. That was before cell phones and both of us were on green sticker bikes.

Yeah,losing stuff sucks.

A month ago I left the zipper somewhat open on the little tankbag on the 525,about midway between Payne's creek and Cohassett,so middle of nowhere on Ponderosa Way.

It seems my wallet jettisoned itself into the rocks and dust, with all associated important cards and 200 in cash............F.

On the following wed a guy from Cohassett calls and has my wallet in hand,$ and everything still in it. He just happened to spot it from the seat of his 4X4,backed up and grabbed it.

Pretty amazing not only to have it found but get it back intact, you never know.

Right after this pic was taken the wallet headed off on it's own.

Is anyone in the group going to this, or have you participated in the past? 2014 AMA NATIONAL "RIDE RENO 200". It looks interesting...

squeeze one in

I may try to squeeze in a ride out Reeds creek, Petty John, up the hill past rat trap and pop out on Tedoc hitting 36 for a return. Tomorrow/ Thursday
I will not be leaving until almost 1 pm, maybe as early as noon. I have a Doctor appt. at 11 so I have to complete that before I can skate.

I would go,but. My DR sits here with the back end off,its getting chain/sprockets,tire,chain slide, regreasing, shock rebuild including a donor shock for a fresh shaft. I somehow destroyed the shock shaft in the last 29,000 miles of abuse.
